QUALIFICATIONS
1. Applicant must be a college-bound Del Oro High School graduating senior.
2. Applicant must verify intention to enroll in college. Verification must come from the applicant, applicant's parent or guardian, or college to be attended.
3. Applicant must be recommended by at least two Del Oro faculty members. Letters of Recommendation are not necessary, but will be accepted. Letters of Recommendation are strongly advised, however.
4. Applicant must be an award-winning participant in high school athletics.
5. Applicant must have attained a minimum 3.0 grade point average, as verified by the Del Oro administration, and must be graduated during the current academic year. A copy of the transcript must accompany the application.
6. Applicant must have attended Del Oro High School for at least two full academic years.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications must be received no later than APRIL 15.
Application forms may be obtained at the Del Oro school office or through Paul's Place Association. An application form is available on this website.
AWARD
One scholarship in the amount of $1500 minimum will be awarded.
For both the Yokote and Bonner Scholarships, scholarship recipients are selected by the Scholarship Committee of Paul's Place Association, and are subject to the final approval of the Association's Board of Governors. Candidates are judged on the basis of their high school academic record, participation in sports-related and other extracurricular activities, school and personal recommendations, quality of the application, and assessment of need. The Officers and Governors of Paul's Place Association reserve the right to revoke the scholarship of any selected individual, prior to the scholarship's presentation, for any actions detrimental to the community and Del Oro High School or for behavior considered contrary to the goals and purposes of Paul's Place Association.
